Manchster United release two first team players

Victor Valdes and Nick Powell have been released by Manchester United.

Both of the players had their contracts ending with the club this summer, but none of them were offered a new one and were released on free transfers.

Powell's career didn't click in at United, and he managed to make only nine first team appearances since signing from Crewe in 2012. The twenty two year old mid fielder has spent loan spells at Wigan Athletic, Leicester City and the most recent one at Hull City, where he made no more than two appearances.

As for Victor Valdes, he got a first team experience only twice in eighteen months at the club. United acquired the goalkeeper's services as a free agent from FC Barcelona in 2015, but due to his refusal to Louis Van Gaal to play with the reserve squad, he was asked to find a new club by the Manchester United ex manager, and was sent on loan for the second half of last season.

It's sad to see them both leave the club on a bad note, but some things are just not meant to be. I wish them good luck f
or their future.
